How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Danger: Burning smells can precede fire. Immediately turn off power at the breaker.
- Do not restart: Leave power off until the source is identified.
- Inspect components: Open the equipment bay and look for discolored, melted, or smoking components, especially around pumps, heater terminals, and the control board.
- Check motor temperature: Carefully feel (when cool) if any pump motor casing shows signs of extreme heat or discoloration.
- Tighten connections: With power off, tighten all main lugs and heater terminals on the MAAX control pack.
- Replace damaged parts: Any burned wiring, relays, or motors should be replaced. Do not operate the spa until repairs are completed by a qualified technician.
