Water temperature overshoots the set point by several degrees before the heater shuts off.

Safety: Monitor water temperature with a separate thermometer to avoid scalding.

• Verify actual temperature: Compare displayed temperature to an accurate thermometer.
• Check sensor placement: Ensure the MAAX temperature sensor is properly seated in the heater well or clamped to the heater tube as designed.
• Improve circulation: Clean filters and verify good flow so water around the sensor represents actual tub temperature.
• Inspect heater relay: If the heater continues to heat after the control indicates it is off, the relay may be stuck and the control board should be replaced.
• Replace sensor: If overshoot persists with good flow and a good relay, install a new temperature sensor.
