Possible Causes
Slow or mislocated temperature sensor, Stuck heater relay, Poor water circulation past sensor, Incorrect sensor type installed
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Monitor water temperature with a separate thermometer to avoid scalding.
- Verify actual temperature: Compare displayed temperature to an accurate thermometer.
- Check sensor placement: Ensure the MAAX temperature sensor is properly seated in the heater well or clamped to the heater tube as designed.
- Improve circulation: Clean filters and verify good flow so water around the sensor represents actual tub temperature.
- Inspect heater relay: If the heater continues to heat after the control indicates it is off, the relay may be stuck and the control board should be replaced.
- Replace sensor: If overshoot persists with good flow and a good relay, install a new temperature sensor.
