Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the GFCI breaker before removing the topside panel or opening the control pack.
- 1. Inspect topside cable: Access the underside of the topside control panel (usually from inside the equipment bay). Verify the ribbon cable is firmly plugged into both the panel and the control board.
- 2. Check for moisture: Look for condensation or water inside the topside housing. If present, carefully dry the area and allow the panel to air out before restoring power.
- 3. Power reset: After reseating the cable, restore power and see if the display returns to normal.
- 4. Substitute panel (if available): If you have access to a known-good PDC Spas-compatible topside, connect it temporarily to see if the issue is with the panel or the control board.
If the display remains blank or shows only dashes with a known-good panel, the control pack likely has a communication or display driver fault and should be serviced or replaced by a professional.
