Possible Causes

User-activated keypad lock function, Stuck key sequence triggering lock, Control logic holding lock state after power cycle

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: There is no electrical hazard from LOC itself, but always ensure the spa is GFCI protected.

  • 1. Unlock via keypad: On most PDC Spas topside controls, press and hold a specific button combination (often Temp Up + Temp Down or Light + Temp Up) for 3–5 seconds to toggle the lock. Refer to your PDC Spas user manual for the exact sequence.
  • 2. Power cycle: If the keypad does not respond, turn the GFCI breaker OFF for 30 seconds, then ON. Try the unlock sequence again.
  • 3. Inspect keypad: Check for moisture under the overlay or physical damage that could cause stuck buttons. Dry the panel surface and ensure no water is trapped around the edges.

If LOC will not clear and the keypad remains unresponsive, the topside control panel or control board may be faulty and should be tested by a technician.
