Possible Causes
Expired or failed PDC Spas ozone generator, Cracked or kinked ozone tubing, Blocked Mazzei injector or check valve, Ozone check valve installed backwards
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the GFCI breaker before handling ozone equipment. Avoid inhaling concentrated ozone.
- 1. Inspect tubing: Check ozone tubing from the generator to the injector for kinks, cracks, or disconnections. Replace brittle tubing.
- 2. Check check valve: Ensure the ozone check valve is oriented correctly (arrow pointing toward the injector) and not blocked.
- 3. Clean or replace injector: If there are no bubbles at the injector port, the injector may be clogged with scale. Remove and soak in a descaling solution or replace with a compatible injector.
- 4. Replace ozone generator: Ozone units typically have a limited lifespan (2–4 years). If older, replace with a PDC Spas-compatible ozone generator.
