Possible Causes
Unbalanced or misaligned PDC Spas jet pump, Pump not secured to base, Rigid plumbing putting stress on pump unions, Cavitation due to restricted suction
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the GFCI breaker before adjusting pumps or plumbing.
- 1. Check pump mounting: Verify that all pump mounting bolts are tight and that rubber isolation pads are present and not deteriorated.
- 2. Inspect plumbing alignment: Ensure that PVC pipes align naturally with pump unions and are not forcing the pump into a twisted position.
- 3. Clean filters and suctions: Restricted suction can cause cavitation and vibration. Clean filters and check suction covers for obstructions.
- 4. Replace pump if needed: If the motor shaft is bent or bearings are badly worn, replace the PDC Spas pump assembly.
