Possible Causes
Low sanitizer (chlorine/bromine) levels, High dissolved solids or organics, Dirty PDC Spas filters, Infrequent water changes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Avoid using the spa until water is clear and properly sanitized.
- 1. Test water: Use a reliable test kit or strips to check sanitizer, pH, alkalinity, and calcium hardness.
- 2. Shock the spa: Add a non-chlorine or chlorine shock product per label directions to oxidize contaminants.
- 3. Clean filters: Remove and clean PDC Spas filters thoroughly. Replace if old or heavily stained.
- 4. Run pumps: Run the jets and filtration cycles longer to improve circulation.
- 5. Drain and refill: If water remains cloudy or odorous after treatment, drain the spa completely, clean the shell, and refill with fresh water, then balance chemistry.
