Possible Causes
Shorted pump 2 motor, Incorrect voltage wiring, Damaged pump cable, Control board output fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power and lock out the breaker before working on pump 2.
- Inspect pump 2 motor: Check for signs of water intrusion, rust, or burnt smell around the pump 2 motor.
- Verify wiring configuration: Confirm that pump 2 is wired for the correct voltage (120 V or 240 V) as specified by QCA Spas and matches the control pack output.
- Test insulation: With power OFF, use a multimeter to check for continuity between motor leads and ground. Any continuity indicates a shorted motor that must be replaced.
- Control pack diagnosis: If the pump tests good but P2 persists, the control board may require professional repair or replacement.
