Possible Causes
Worn motor bearings, Cavitation from low water or blocked suction, Debris in pump wet end, Misaligned pump mounting
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power and allow the pump to cool before touching.
- Check water level and flow: Ensure the spa is filled properly and filters are clean to prevent cavitation.
- Inspect for debris: Remove the pump wet end faceplate and check the impeller for stones or foreign objects.
- Tighten mounting bolts: Verify that the pump is securely mounted to the base to reduce vibration.
- Replace pump/motor: If the noise is from worn bearings (metallic grinding), the motor should be rebuilt or replaced with a QCA-compatible pump assembly.
