Possible Causes
Failed heater element, Tripped high-limit sensor, Faulty temperature sensor misreading water temp, Heater relay failure on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power and verify with a tester before touching heater wiring.
- Confirm settings: Ensure the spa is in Standard mode (not Economy) and the set temperature is above current water temperature.
- Check for OH/HL codes: If overheat codes appear, resolve flow issues first.
- Test heater element: With power OFF and wires removed from the heater, measure resistance across the heater terminals. Replace the QCA Spas heater assembly if the element is open or shorted.
- Inspect control board: If the heater tests good but never receives power when the heat icon is on, the heater relay or control board may need replacement.
