Possible Causes
Water intrusion into pump motor, Shorted heater element to ground, Damaged wiring in equipment bay, Faulty ozonator or light transformer
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Frequent breaker tripping indicates a potentially dangerous fault. If unsure, contact a professional.
- Isolate components: With power OFF, disconnect non-essential loads from the QCA Spas control pack one at a time (ozonator, light, blower) and then restore power to see if the breaker holds.
- Test heater to ground: With power OFF, measure resistance between each heater terminal and ground. Any continuity indicates a ground fault; replace the heater assembly.
- Inspect pumps: Look for signs of leaks onto motors, rust, or burnt smell. A wet or corroded motor can cause GFCI trips and should be replaced.
