Possible Causes
Leaking pump union O-ring, Cracked heater manifold, Loose slice valve, Failed pump shaft seal
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power and do not run the spa with a known leak; it can damage components and the structure.
- Identify leak source: Remove the equipment bay panel on your QCA Spas unit and run the spa briefly while observing for drips around the pump, heater, and plumbing joints.
- Tighten unions: With power OFF, hand-tighten pump and heater unions. Do not overtighten; if leaking persists, replace the union O-rings.
- Inspect valves: Check slice valves for cracks or leaks around the body. Replace if damaged.
- Pump seal: If water is leaking from between the pump wet end and motor, the shaft seal has failed and the pump wet end or entire pump should be replaced.
