How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power at the GFCI. Pumps draw high current; use caution.
- Step 1 – Check for obstructions: Ensure all slice valves are open and there are no kinks in the suction or return lines for Pump 1.
- Step 2 – Try to spin shaft: With power off, remove the rear motor cover and attempt to spin the shaft by hand. If seized, the pump will need replacement.
- Step 3 – Inspect wiring: Check the Pump 1 connector at the Vita Spa control pack for heat damage or loose pins. Repair as needed.
- Step 4 – Electrical test: A technician can test pump windings for shorts and verify correct voltage output from the control pack.
