Possible Causes
Stuck pressure switch contacts, Shorted pressure switch wiring, Incorrectly adjusted pressure switch
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before testing or replacing the pressure switch.
- Step 1 – Visual inspection: Check the pressure switch wiring for shorts or moisture bridging the terminals.
- Step 2 – Continuity test: With pump off and no flow, test the switch with a multimeter. It should be open. If it reads closed, replace the switch.
- Step 3 – Verify adjustment: If adjustable, back off the adjustment screw slightly and retest. Do not over-adjust; if in doubt, replace with a factory-set Vita Spa pressure switch.
- Step 4 – Control board check: If a new switch still reads closed to the board, the input circuit may be shorted and the control pack may need replacement.
