Possible Causes

Cracked heater manifold or unions, Leaking pump shaft seal, Loose PVC unions or fittings, Split jet body or plumbing line

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Turn off power at the GFCI and do not run the spa with an active leak near electrical components.

  • Step 1 – Locate source: Remove side panels and inspect for wet areas while the spa is filled. Use a flashlight to trace drips back to their origin.
  • Step 2 – Tighten unions: Gently tighten heater and pump unions by hand; do not overtighten. Replace O-rings if they are flattened or cracked.
  • Step 3 – Pump seal: If water is leaking from under a pump motor, the shaft seal has likely failed. Replace the pump seal kit or the entire wet end.
  • Step 4 – PVC repairs: For cracked fittings or lines, drain the spa below the leak and repair using PVC couplings and spa-rated cement.
