How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Avoid soaking until water chemistry is corrected.
- Step 1 – Test water: Use a reliable test kit to check free chlorine/bromine, combined chlorine, pH, and alkalinity.
- Step 2 – Shock treatment: Add a non-chlorine shock or chlorine shock per label to break down chloramines.
- Step 3 – Adjust pH/alkalinity: Bring pH into the 7.2–7.8 range and alkalinity into the recommended range for Vita Spa.
- Step 4 – Ventilate: Open the cover periodically to allow off-gassing of volatile compounds.
