Possible Causes
Humidity sensor reading too high, Stuck fan relay on PCB, Incorrect fan mode setting (continuous fan), Shorted humidity sensor wiring
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before accessing internal components.
Steps:
- Check settings: Some Argo models allow continuous fan operation. Verify the fan mode is set to "Auto" rather than "Continuous".
- Verify humidity reading: Compare the unit's displayed humidity with a separate hygrometer. If the unit reads much higher, the humidity sensor may be faulty.
- Inspect sensor: Clean and reseat the Argo digital humidity sensor module.
- Relay check: If the sensor is accurate but the fan never stops, the fan relay on the main PCB may be stuck closed. Replace the Argo main control PCB.
