Possible Causes
Water tank full as designed, Tank not fully inserted after emptying, Faulty tank full switch or float
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off and unplug the unit before removing the tank to avoid spills and electrical hazards.
Steps:
- Empty tank: Carefully remove the water tank, empty it completely, and rinse if there is any dirt or biofilm.
- Check float: Inspect the float inside the tank (if present). Ensure it moves freely and is not waterlogged or broken.
- Reinstall correctly: Slide the tank back into place firmly until it is fully seated. Many Argo models will continue to show P2 if the tank is not pushed in all the way.
- Switch check: If P2 remains with an empty, correctly installed tank, inspect the tank full switch in the tank compartment. Test it with a multimeter and replace the Argo tank full micro-switch if it does not change state when actuated.
- Test operation: Restore power and verify that P2 clears and the unit resumes operation.
