Safety: Unplug the Cecotec dehumidifier before removing covers. Beware of sharp metal edges.

Steps:

External check: Ensure the unit is on a level, solid surface. Remove any objects touching the cabinet that may vibrate.
Inspect fan: Remove the rear cover and check the fan wheel for cracks, looseness on the shaft, or foreign objects. Tighten the fan hub screw if present and remove debris.
Check motor mounts: Verify that the fan motor bracket screws are tight and that rubber isolators are intact.
Compressor mounts: Inspect the compressor mounting bolts and rubber grommets. Tighten loose bolts carefully without over-torquing.
Test: Reassemble and run the unit. If grinding persists from the fan motor or compressor, the component may need replacement.
