• Ambient conditions: Ensure the room temperature is within the operating range specified by Cecotec (typically above 5–10°C). Very low temperatures can trigger protection.
• Airflow: Clean the air filter and ensure intake and exhaust are not blocked. Poor airflow can cause abnormal pressures.
• Visual inspection: With the cover removed (unit unplugged), inspect the evaporator and condenser coils for heavy ice buildup, oil stains, or physical damage. Oil stains can indicate a refrigerant leak.
• Reset: After cleaning and ensuring proper placement, unplug the unit for 10 minutes, then restart.
• If E8 persists: The unit likely has a sealed-system issue (low refrigerant, blocked capillary, or faulty pressure sensor). Contact an authorized Cecotec service center for professional diagnosis and repair.
