Possible Causes
Empty water tank, Misaligned tank, Faulty float or electronic level sensor, Dirty sensor electrodes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the Cecotec humidifier before handling the water tank or internal parts.
Steps:
- Refill and reseat tank: Fill the tank with clean water up to the indicated level. Ensure the tank is properly seated and the cap is tightened if the design uses an inverted tank.
- Check float: If the model uses a float in the base, verify it moves freely up and down. Clean any scale or slime that may cause sticking.
- Clean electrodes: For electronic level sensors, gently clean the metal probes with a soft cloth and white vinegar to remove mineral deposits.
- Reset: After cleaning and refilling, plug the unit back in and restart. If F1 clears, monitor operation.
- Replace sensor: If F1 persists with a full, correctly seated tank, the level sensor or float switch may be defective and should be replaced with a Cecotec-compatible part.
