Possible Causes
Insufficient water over transducer, Heavy scale on ultrasonic membrane, Failed transducer temperature sensor, Blocked water flow to base
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the Cecotec humidifier before cleaning. Do not touch the transducer while it is operating.
Steps:
- Check water level: Ensure the tank is full and properly seated so water can flow into the base chamber covering the ultrasonic transducer.
- Descale transducer: Empty the base and gently clean the ultrasonic membrane with a soft cloth or cotton swab dipped in white vinegar. Do not use sharp tools that can scratch the surface.
- Clean water channels: Inspect and clean any small water inlets from the tank to the base. Remove mineral buildup that may restrict flow.
- Cool-down: Allow the unit to rest unplugged for 20–30 minutes to reset the overheat protection.
- Test: Refill, reassemble, and restart. If F2 returns quickly, the transducer or its temperature sensor may be faulty and require replacement.
