Possible Causes
Failed internal condensate pump, Blocked pump inlet or outlet hose, Stuck pump float, Pump wiring or connector fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit. Water and electricity are present; keep connections dry.
Steps:
- 1. Inspect hoses: Check the pump outlet hose for kinks, clogs, or freezing (if in a cold area). Clear any blockage and ensure the hose slopes downward without loops.
- 2. Check pump reservoir: Access the internal pump tray and remove any slime, scale, or debris that may block the inlet or jam the float.
- 3. Float movement: Manually move the pump float up and down. It should move freely and activate the pump switch. Clean and free it if stuck.
- 4. Power test: With the unit reassembled enough to run and using caution, fill the pump tray with water and see if the pump activates. If not, check for voltage at the pump motor when the float is raised.
- 5. Replace pump: If voltage is present but the pump does not run, replace the condensate pump assembly with the correct Ebac part.
Warning: Do not operate the unit with a known faulty pump; water damage may result.
