How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before servicing the humidifier section.
Steps:
- 1. Check water level: Ensure the humidifier reservoir is filled to the correct level with clean water.
- 2. Clean wick/nozzle: Remove and inspect the humidifier wick or nozzle. Descale with a vinegar solution if mineral deposits are present, then rinse thoroughly.
- 3. Pump operation: For pump-fed humidifiers, listen for pump operation when humidifier mode is selected. If silent, test for voltage at the pump and replace if faulty.
- 4. Control settings: Verify that humidifier mode is enabled and the humidity setpoint is above the current room humidity.
- 5. PCB check: If the pump and components are good but no output occurs, the humidifier control circuit on the PCB may be defective.
