Possible Causes

Cracked water tank, Misaligned tank not sealing to chassis, Blocked internal drain channel, Loose or cracked drain hose connection

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the unit before tipping or disassembling. Dry any spilled water to prevent slipping.

Steps:

  • 1. Inspect tank: Remove the water tank and check for cracks, warping, or missing seals. Fill it at a sink and look for leaks.
  • 2. Check tank seating: Ensure the tank slides fully into place and engages any seals or gaskets. Adjust or replace worn seals as needed.
  • 3. Clear drain channel: Locate the internal drain spout or channel from the evaporator tray to the tank. Use a flexible brush or pipe cleaner to remove slime and debris.
  • 4. Hose connection: If using continuous drain, verify the hose is firmly attached to the Ebac drain outlet and that the hose runs downhill without kinks. Replace a cracked hose.
  • 5. Test for leaks: Reassemble, add a small amount of water to the evaporator tray (if accessible), and observe for leaks before full operation.
