Dehumidifier display and buttons work, but unit does not respond to changes in humidity setting (runs constantly or not at all).

Safety: Unplug before opening the cabinet.

Steps:

• Verify actual humidity: Use a separate hygrometer to compare room humidity with the unit’s display.
• Sensor cleaning: Clean the air filter and intake grille. Gently clean around the humidity sensor.
• Power reset: Unplug for 5–10 minutes, then plug back in and reprogram the humidity setpoint.
• Sensor replacement: If the displayed humidity is clearly wrong or does not change with room conditions, replace the humidity sensor.
• Board issues: If the sensor is good but the compressor runs constantly regardless of setpoint, the control board relay may be stuck and the board should be replaced.
