Dehumidifier shows F1 and does not respond to humidity settings properly.

Safety: Disconnect power before servicing.

Steps:

• Clean intake and filter: Remove and clean the air filter. Vacuum the intake grille to ensure good airflow over the humidity sensor.
• Locate humidity sensor: Access the front panel and find the humidity sensor module near the air intake path.
• Inspect and reseat: Check the sensor for physical damage. Unplug and replug the sensor connector at both the sensor and control board ends if accessible.
• Check wiring: Look for any cuts, pinches, or signs of rodent damage on the sensor wires.
• Replace sensor if needed: If F1 persists, replace the humidity sensor with a Frigidaire-compatible part.
• Board diagnosis: If a new sensor does not resolve F1, the main control board’s sensor input circuit may be defective and require replacement.
