Musty or moldy odor coming from the dehumidifier during operation.

Steps:

• Tank cleaning: Remove the water tank and wash with warm water and mild detergent. Disinfect with a diluted bleach solution (follow manufacturer guidance) and rinse thoroughly.
• Drain pan: Access the internal drain pan under the evaporator. Wipe away slime and mold with a cloth and disinfectant.
• Filter and coils: Clean the air filter and gently vacuum dust from coils.
• Hose: If using a drain hose, flush it with a disinfectant solution and allow to dry.
• Regular maintenance: Empty the tank daily in humid seasons and clean monthly to prevent recurrence.
