Possible Causes

Low water level in reservoir, Faulty water level sensor, Disconnected or damaged water level sensor harness, Control board misreading sensor signal

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the AGLUCKY ice maker before opening any panels or touching internal wiring.

Step-by-step checks:

  • Check water level: Remove the ice basket and visually confirm the reservoir is filled to the MAX line with clean, potable water. Reinstall the basket and restart the unit.
  • Clean the water level sensor: On most AGLUCKY countertop units, the water level is detected by a pair of metal probes or a float sensor in the reservoir. Mineral buildup can insulate the probes. Gently clean the probes/float with a soft cloth and white vinegar, then rinse thoroughly.
  • Inspect the sensor harness: With the unit unplugged, remove the top cover (usually a few Phillips screws). Locate the water level sensor wires leading from the reservoir to the control board. Ensure the connector is fully seated and wires are not pinched or broken.
  • Reset the unit: After reassembly, plug the unit back in, fill with water, and hold the power button for 5–10 seconds (if your model supports reset) to clear the error.
  • If E1 persists: The water level sensor or main control PCB may be defective. Replacement of the sensor is usually straightforward; PCB replacement is more complex and may require a technician.
