Ice appears cloudy or white instead of clear.

Note: Cloudy ice is usually a water quality issue, not a mechanical failure.

Improve water quality:

• Use filtered or bottled water with lower mineral content.
• Avoid very hot water; use cool water to reduce trapped air.

Clean evaporator:

• Descale the evaporator with a vinegar solution or ice maker cleaner to ensure a smooth freezing surface.

After cleaning and switching to better water, ice clarity should improve over several cycles.
