Possible Causes
Partially clogged water inlet filter, Low water pressure, Scale buildup on evaporator plate, Misadjusted ice thickness sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit and close the water supply before servicing water components.
- Check water pressure: Ensure the supply valve is fully open and that other fixtures in the home have normal pressure.
- Clean inlet filter: Remove and rinse the mesh filter at the water inlet connection on the rear of the Amica ice maker.
- Descale evaporator: Run a cleaning cycle if your model supports it, using an Amica-approved descaling solution. Alternatively, manually apply descaler to the evaporator plate and rinse thoroughly.
- Adjust thickness sensor: Verify the ice thickness probe gap and adjust according to the service manual so that cubes reach the correct size before harvest.
