Buttons on the control panel are unresponsive or require very hard presses.

Safety: Unplug the ice maker before disassembling the control panel.

• Clean panel surface: Wipe the control panel with a slightly damp cloth to remove sticky residues that may hinder button travel.
• Access keypad: Remove the front/top cover to expose the keypad or display PCB.
• Inspect for cracks or warping: Replace the front panel if physically damaged.
• Reseat keypad connector: Ensure the keypad cable is firmly connected to the display or main board.
• Replace keypad/display board: If individual buttons still fail, replace the keypad membrane or entire display PCB, depending on design.
