Possible Causes
Blown internal fuse on control PCB, Failed main control board, Shorted power input circuit, Damaged power cord or plug
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the Baridi ice maker from the mains before opening any panels. Do not work on live circuits.
- Check the wall outlet: Plug a lamp or phone charger into the same outlet to confirm it has power. If not, reset the breaker or use a different outlet.
- Inspect the power cord: Look for cuts, kinks, burn marks, or loose prongs. If damaged, the cord set must be replaced; do not tape or splice it.
- Reset the unit: Unplug the ice maker for 10–15 minutes, then plug it back in directly to the wall (no extension lead). If E1 reappears immediately, continue below.
- Check internal fuse (if accessible): Remove the rear or bottom service panel (usually Phillips screws). Locate the small glass or ceramic fuse on the control PCB. If it appears blackened or the filament is broken, test with a multimeter for continuity. Replace only with the same rating.
- Inspect the control PCB: Look for burnt components, bulged capacitors, or scorch marks on the Baridi control board. If present, the board is likely faulty and should be replaced as a complete assembly.
- Reassemble and test: Refit all covers, plug the unit back in, and power on. If E1 persists after fuse and cord checks, the control board is the most likely failed part and professional replacement is recommended.
