Possible Causes

Misadjusted ice thickness probe, Scale buildup on thickness sensor, Failed thickness sensor switch, Broken sensor bracket

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Disconnect power before adjusting or cleaning sensors.

  • Locate the thickness sensor: On many Baridi ice makers, a metal or plastic probe sits near the evaporator to detect ice thickness before harvest.
  • Clean the probe: Mineral deposits can insulate the probe. Wipe it with a cloth soaked in white vinegar, then rinse with clean water and dry.
  • Check alignment and gap: Ensure the probe is positioned according to the user manual (typically a few millimeters from the evaporator surface). Gently bend or adjust the bracket if it has been knocked out of place.
  • Inspect the switch or sensor body: Make sure the sensor housing is not cracked and that its wiring is intact. Reseat the connector on the control PCB.
  • Test operation: After cleaning and adjustment, run a cycle and observe whether the machine now harvests at the correct ice thickness. If E10 returns, replace the ice thickness sensor assembly.
