Possible Causes

Stuck mechanical float in water reservoir, Faulty water level sensor, Mineral buildup on level probe, Loose wiring to level sensor on control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the ice maker before removing covers or reaching into the water reservoir.

  • Check water level: Ensure the reservoir is filled to the correct mark with clean water. Low water can trigger level errors.
  • Clean the reservoir and float: Remove the ice basket and access the water reservoir. If your Baridi model uses a float, gently move it up and down. If it sticks, clean around it with warm water and a soft brush to remove scale or debris.
  • Descale level probes: If your model uses metal water level probes, wipe them with a cloth soaked in white vinegar to remove mineral deposits, then rinse with clean water.
  • Inspect wiring: With the unit unplugged, remove the side or bottom panel to access the water level sensor harness. Ensure the connector is fully seated on the control PCB and that no wires are pinched or broken.
  • Reset and test: Reassemble, fill with water, plug in, and run a cycle. If E2 returns consistently, the water level sensor assembly is likely defective and should be replaced.
