Possible Causes

Blocked condenser coil, Failed condenser fan, Ambient temperature too high, Overheating compressor

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the unit and allow it to cool before touching the compressor or condenser.

  • Improve ventilation: Ensure the Baridi ice maker has adequate clearance on all sides and is not placed in a confined cabinet or near heat sources (ovens, radiators, direct sunlight).
  • Clean condenser coil: Remove the rear panel and use a soft brush or vacuum to remove dust and lint from the condenser fins. Do not bend the fins.
  • Check condenser fan: Confirm the fan runs whenever the compressor is on. If not, follow the fan motor diagnostic steps (see E9 scenario) and replace if necessary.
  • Ambient conditions: Verify the room temperature is within Baridi’s specified operating range (typically 10–32°C). Move the unit to a cooler location if needed.
  • Restart: After cleaning and cooling, plug the unit back in and run a cycle. If H1 returns quickly, the compressor may be overheating due to internal failure and requires professional diagnosis.
