How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit and discard all ice before cleaning.
- Drain and clean reservoir: Empty the water reservoir completely. Wash with warm water and mild detergent, then rinse.
- Sanitize system: Fill the reservoir with a solution of 1 part white vinegar to 3 parts water. Run a few cycles, discarding the ice, then drain and rinse thoroughly with clean water.
- Clean ice basket and scoop: Wash with hot, soapy water and dry completely.
- Replace inlet hose (plumbed models): If odor persists, replace the water supply hose and ensure it is food-grade.
- Use fresh water: Always use fresh, potable water and change it daily if the unit is not used continuously.
