Possible Causes
Partially closed supply valve, Clogged external filter, Clogged internal inlet filter screen, Long or undersized supply line causing pressure drop
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Close the water supply and unplug the unit before disconnecting any lines.
Steps:
- 1. Verify supply valve: Confirm the shutoff valve is fully open and not a self-piercing type, which can restrict flow.
- 2. Check external filter: If a water filter is installed in-line, replace it if it is older than recommended or shows reduced flow.
- 3. Inspect inlet screen: Disconnect the water line at the ice maker inlet valve and clean the small mesh screen inside the valve body.
- 4. Evaluate line size and length: Ensure the supply line meets Blomberg specifications (typically 1/4" OD) and is not excessively long or routed through multiple restrictive fittings.
