• 3. Inspect evaporator for scale: If accessible, look for white mineral deposits on the evaporator plate or grid. Descale using an ice machine cleaner approved for food-contact surfaces, following the product instructions.
• 4. Monitor cycle: After cleaning, run a full cycle and time the freeze and harvest stages. If still excessively long, a sealed system issue may exist and requires a refrigeration technician.
