Possible Causes
Unit not leveled, Loose compressor mounting, Vibrating copper lines touching cabinet, Loose fan shroud or panels
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before adjusting internal components.
Steps:
- 1. Level the cabinet: Use a spirit level and adjust the front leveling feet until the unit is stable and does not rock.
- 2. Check compressor mounts: Inspect rubber grommets and mounting bolts. Tighten loose hardware but do not overtighten to the point of eliminating vibration isolation.
- 3. Isolate tubing: Gently bend copper lines away from cabinet walls or each other, adding foam sleeves where they might rub.
- 4. Tighten panels: Secure any loose screws on rear and side panels and fan shrouds.
