Ice cubes are cloudy, white, or contain particles.

Safety first: Turn off and unplug before cleaning.

Steps:

• Use better water: Fill the reservoir with filtered or low-mineral water instead of very hard tap water.
• Clean reservoir: Empty the tank and wash it with mild dish soap, then rinse thoroughly to remove any residue.
• Descale evaporator: Run a cleaning cycle if your Bomann model supports it, or manually wipe the evaporator with a food-safe descaling solution, then rinse.

If particles persist, consider installing an external water filter or replacing any internal filter element if your model has one.
