Water accumulates inside the ice-making compartment or under the ice basket.

Possible Causes
Blocked internal drain channel, Misaligned ice basket, Excessive frost causing meltwater overflow, Cracked internal drain hose
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off and unplug the ice maker before cleaning inside.
Steps:
- Remove ice and basket: Take out the ice basket and mop up standing water with a cloth.
- Clean drain channel: Locate the small drain opening at the rear or bottom of the ice compartment. Use a cotton swab or soft brush to clear any debris or scale.
- Defrost: Leave the lid open and the unit unplugged for 30–60 minutes to melt any built-up ice blocking the drain.
- Reassemble and test: Reinstall the basket correctly and run a cycle, checking that meltwater flows to the reservoir or drain as designed.
If water still pools inside, an internal drain hose may be disconnected or damaged and should be inspected by a technician.
