Ice maker is running but makes very little ice compared to its rated capacity.

Safety first: Unplug the unit before cleaning or moving it.

• Improve ventilation: Ensure the ice maker has the clearances specified by Brandt and that intake and exhaust grills are not blocked.
• Clean condenser: Vacuum and brush the condenser coil to improve heat rejection.
• Check ambient temperature: Move the unit away from ovens, dishwashers, or direct sunlight. Ideal ambient is typically 10–32°C.
• Clean water filter/screen: If your installation uses an external filter, replace it. Clean the inlet valve screen to restore full water flow.
• Run cleaning cycle: Use a descaling solution to clean internal water paths and evaporator, which can improve heat transfer and production.
