Possible Causes

Stuck low water float switch, Dirty water level electrodes, Faulty low water sensor, Loose sensor harness

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the unit before reaching into the reservoir.

  • Refill reservoir: Ensure the water reservoir is filled to the correct level with clean, potable water.
  • Check float movement: Locate the float assembly in the reservoir. Move it up and down by hand to confirm it is not stuck by scale or debris. Clean with warm water and mild detergent.
  • Clean level probes: If your Camry model uses metal electrodes, gently clean them with a soft cloth to remove mineral buildup.
  • Inspect wiring: Follow the sensor wires to the control board and reseat the connector.
  • Reset and test: Plug the unit back in and start a cycle. If E12 remains with a full reservoir, the low water sensor assembly may need replacement.
