How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the Camry ice maker before opening the control panel.
- Dry the panel: If the panel is wet from cleaning or condensation, allow it to dry completely for several hours before further work.
- Access control panel: Remove the screws securing the front control panel and gently pull it forward.
- Check ribbon cable: Reseat the flat ribbon cable or harness between the display board and main control PCB. Ensure it is fully inserted and locked.
- Inspect for corrosion: Look for green or white corrosion on connectors. Clean lightly with electronic contact cleaner and a soft brush.
- Test operation: Reassemble and power on. If E14 persists and buttons still misbehave, the user interface board may need replacement.
