Possible Causes
Stuck water inlet valve, Faulty water level sensor, Blocked overflow drain, Control board not closing inlet valve
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the ice maker and shut off the water supply immediately to stop overflow.
- Clean overflow drain: Locate the overflow outlet in the reservoir and ensure it is not blocked by debris or scale.
- Check water level sensor: Inspect the float or level probes for free movement and cleanliness. Clean as needed.
- Test inlet valve: With water supply off, disconnect the outlet hose from the Camry inlet valve. Turn water on briefly; if water flows through the valve with no power applied, the valve is stuck open and must be replaced.
- Inspect control wiring: Ensure the inlet valve wiring harness is intact and not shorted.
After correcting the cause, dry the interior, restore water and power, and test. Persistent E17 may indicate a control board fault.
