Ice Bin Full Sensor Fault
E9 error; ice basket is not full but machine indicates ice bin full and stops making ice.

Possible Causes
Misaligned infrared ice level sensor, Dirty sensor window or reflector, Faulty mechanical bin switch, Damaged sensor wiring or connector
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before working near the ice chute or sensor assemblies.
Steps:
- Empty and reseat the basket: Remove the ice basket, empty it, and reinstall it correctly. Some Caso models require the basket to be fully seated to clear the full-bin signal.
- Clean the sensor: If your model uses an infrared ice level sensor, locate the emitter and receiver near the top of the ice bin opening. Clean both lenses with a soft, dry cloth to remove frost, condensation, or dust.
- Check mechanical switch: On models with a mechanical bin-full lever, ensure the lever moves freely and is not stuck by ice. Gently move it up and down to verify smooth operation.
- Inspect wiring: Follow the sensor or switch wires back to the control board. Look for loose plugs or damaged insulation.
- Test the switch (if applicable): Use a multimeter to check continuity of the bin-full switch in both positions. Replace if it does not change state.
- Replace sensor: If cleaning and alignment do not resolve E9, replace the ice bin full sensor assembly (IR sensor pair or mechanical switch) with a compatible Caso part.
