Possible Causes
Faulty start/pause button on control panel, Loose ribbon cable between UI and main PCB, Locked control (child lock) feature active, Failed touch control PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before removing the control panel or top cover.
Steps:
- Check for lock mode: Consult the Caso manual to see if a child lock or key lock feature is enabled. Disable it according to instructions.
- Try a power reset: Unplug for 5 minutes, then plug back in and attempt to start a cycle.
- Inspect control panel: Check for moisture under the display or buttons. Wipe the surface dry and allow the unit to sit unplugged to dry internally if condensation is suspected.
- Check ribbon cable: Remove the top or front panel to access the user interface PCB. Ensure the ribbon cable to the main board is fully seated and not damaged.
- Test button function: On mechanical buttons, use a multimeter to verify continuity when pressed. If no change, replace the control panel / UI PCB.
- Board diagnosis: If the UI is good but the main board does not respond, the main control board may be defective.
