Possible Causes
Clogged water filter or inlet screen, Kinked or blocked water hose, Airlock in pump, Scale buildup in water distribution tube
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit and drain water before disconnecting hoses.
Steps:
- Check inlet screen: Remove the water tank and inspect any filter screen at the outlet. Clean off debris and rinse.
- Inspect hoses: Access internal hoses leading from the reservoir to the water distribution tube above the evaporator. Straighten kinks and clear visible blockages.
- Bleed air from pump: Refill the tank and tilt the unit slightly to help trapped air escape from the pump. Start a cycle and listen for a change in pump sound.
- Descale water path: Run a descaling solution through the system to dissolve mineral deposits in the distribution tube and nozzles.
- Replace components: If flow remains weak, replace the water circulation pump or water distribution tube if heavily scaled.
