How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the unit before touching the tray or shovel mechanism.

Steps:

Inspect tray and shovel: Remove the ice basket and observe the tray and shovel. Look for scale buildup or physical obstructions.
Clean tray: Descale the ice tray / evaporator with a vinegar solution and a soft brush. Rinse thoroughly.
Check manual movement: Gently move the tray through its tilt range. It should move smoothly without binding.
Test motor: During a cycle, listen for the shovel motor attempting to run. If it hums but does not move, the motor or gears may be failing.
Replace components: Replace the ice shovel motor assembly or tray position sensor if they are not functioning correctly.

Water remains in the ice-making tray and does not freeze or dump properly.

Possible Causes
